PHP 5.3.6 for ReadyNAS x86 released

After a lot of work and compiling even more stuff we can finally present PHP 5.3.6 for ReadyNAS x86. Yes, there already is more than one PHP add-on for the ReadyNAS. But those are at most at release 5.2.17. And since the 5.2 series is no longer considered the stable branch, we thought it might be a good idea to offer the latest and greatest. Of course we will try to make sure that all of our addons continue to work with at least the PHP 5.2.17 add-on where possible. Testing will however not be as extensice as with the PHP 5.3 series add-on.Some goodies of the PHP 5.3.6 add-on that aren't to be found in PHP 5.2.x:

• uses MySQLnd for MySQL access, so it is independent of the MySQL client libraries on the ReadyNAS
• has built-in support for SQLite3 by either using PDO or the native driver
• faster built-in hashing functions
• includes eAccelerator for fast execution of PHP scripts

Of course it is built using compiler optimizations tailored to the ReadyNAS systems. As an additional benefit you can turn off modules that aren't needed to save on memory. If time permits, there may even be an FPM version on the horizon but that's not decided yet.
