Update SABNZBD to fix empty NZB issue?

I am having a problem where sickbeard sends TV NzBs from NZBmatrix to SABNZBD but they fail (NZB unusable - empty NZB). If I manually click try again it will succeed. After some research it appears that sabnzbd 0.7.0 beta 3 has fixed this for some people.

Will the beta releases be added to readynas extras? If I want to update sabnzbd on my readynas do I just install it over my current version (0.6.9)? Will it retain all my settings or will I have to reconfigure?

Anyone?? Don't want to update SAB if I lose my settings and don't want to pay for it again now if I will need to pay yet again for the next version which may incorporate the fix which is supposedly in the beta.

Generally we don't add beta releases unless there's a good reason to do so - or in cases where no other version is available. Manual installation of a newer SABnzbd version should be possible, but since 0.7 is still a beta there are no guarantees it will work. We may have a look at the fix, however. If it is easy to implement there's a chance we're incorporating it into 0.6.15 and send out an update. But again: we may, no guarantees given here, either

Thanks for the reply, so if I update sabnzbd with another one of your sab packages will my settings remain intact or reset to default?

Settings should stay intact as long as there's no incompatible change made by the SAB team. You just shouldn't uninstall before installing an upgrade for uninstalling the app will remove the settings as well, whereas upgrading will try as best as it can to leave them intact and even upgrade the current settings if possible or needed.
