DAP is a DNSSEC Appliance that brings the fuzzy warm feeling of having secure DNS as close as possible to your home office or small office. DNSSEC protects clients from forged DNS data. Answers to DNS requests are digitally signed and validated.
ReadyNAS Platform: Sparc
ReadyNAS Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.8 or newer
After installation DAP will already be active and running. However, of the services it provides only DNS (with DNSSEC) is started up automatically. If you want to enable DHCP or even TFTP you have to do this through DAP's management interface. To reach that, either click on "Manage DAP" on it's pane in the "Installed Add-Ons" list or visit ''http://ip.of.your.NAS:8053/" in your browser.

This page is password protected. The default username/password combination is dns / netgear1. Please make sure to change the password!
